As I mentioned it previously, the only advantage of being old(er) is that you can blog whatever you want and not worry about what others think about you. Which is exactly what I have done. Perhaps it should give me a hint that from the time I started blogging there were no more pledges received? Just kidding. Only a few people read any blogs anyway.
Which brings me to all of you who pledged to donate to the shelter. First, I have to thank you very much. It will really provide a lot of help to the women and children of Mi Casa Esperanza. I will also try to let you know how the money will be used and in which way it will help. As I promised before, 100% of the money will go to the Casa and none of it will be used either by me, or to pay for any non-related overhead. Second, I have to thank you again. I know you could donate to all the different causes, some of them much closer to your home or to your heart. I will always appreciate that you decided to do otherwise.
And as a postscript I have to mention that we drove 12,687 km in a 27HP car. And for that another big thank you goes to Standa Viktora who rebuilt the engine to make it better than a new one. It has not failed us. And to Hynek Streda who welded the car together, put it together and fixed all the problems along the way. It has not failed us. Most of all, I have to thank you Karla. You have never failed me. I hope I will never fail you too. But I think that you already know that.
